Data on your device

The app stores settings (for example colour scheme and graphics quality), your learning progress, self-test results and flashcard progress in the local storage of your browser or the app (localStorage). The web app also keeps program files and 3D models in the browser cache so that it works offline. This data is not sent to us or to third parties. You can delete it at any time by clearing the site data in your browser or by uninstalling the app.

Reporting errors by email

“Fehler melden” (report an error) opens your own email program with a prefilled message (name of the structure or lesson, language and app version). Nothing is sent unless you send it yourself. If you email us, we process your email address and the content of your message to handle your report (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is improving the content). We delete the message once it has been dealt with, unless we are legally required to keep it.

Hosting of the web app

The web app is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, a service of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, which acts as our processor. When you open it, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data in server logs: IP address, date and time, requested file, amount of data transferred, browser and operating system, and the referring page. This serves secure and reliable delivery and protection against attacks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not analyse this data. Delivery runs over Cloudflare's global network, so data may also be transferred to the USA. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; transfers rely on the European Commission's adequacy decision or the recognition by the Swiss Federal Council, and additionally on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Details: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.

The Android and iOS app contains all content and does not need a connection to our servers.

App stores

If you download the app from an app store (for example Google Play, Apple App Store, Samsung Galaxy Store, Huawei AppGallery), the store operator processes data such as your account, your device and the download as a separate controller under its own privacy policy. At most, we receive aggregated statistics that do not identify you.

Your rights

Where we process personal data about you, for example an email, you have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). Contact us at the email address above. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).

Children

The app is intended for physiotherapy trainees and students and does not collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If the app changes so that other data is processed, we will update this policy.
